I’ve been playing this game for a few days now since it’s release early October. I have to say, I’m enjoying this way more than I thought I would. Having played Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for hundreds of hours, I didn’t think I would enjoy this game as much as I do!
I bought it on Switch first. Gameplay is smooth and fast (much faster than SSBU!). Getting used to entering the “strong” attacks with a button instead of smashing the stick took a bit, but the air dashing is a super nifty feature and quick to use that for quick movement everywhere!
I then got it on PC, and I have to say, I’m quite enjoying the gameplay on the PC much more! It just feels so much more responsive and even faster somehow. Using a GameCube like controller on PC as opposed to Switch Pro controller and it just seems designed for this game!
I love the variety of characters, move sets and stages (both tourney-legal and other). And knowing that the devs are really into the community and look forward to interacting and updating the game as best and quickly as possible is just incredible. It will be exciting to see where this game goes within the meta of the game itself, as well as all the future content to be released!
